Why weren't Cliftleigh and Heddon Greta included with the original entry signs?

Heddon Greta and Cliftleigh suburb signs were not part of the original roll-out of suburb entry signs installed in late 2020 as there was a limit on the funds available for this sign type, so unfortunately, not all suburbs were able to be included.  Given this situation, community engagement was not undertaken to identify the sign logos or locations at that time.

Since December 2020, Council resolved (Report No. BN1/2021) at its Ordinary Meeting on 17 February 2021:

That the General Manager investigates options available to prioritise Suburb Entry Signs for Heddon Greta and Cliftleigh, with a report to coming back to March Council meeting, including where the signs are needed and how much they will cost.

How is the project being funded?

Council has sought funds through the Local Roads and community Infrastructure Program via the Australian Government to supply and install 3 suburb entry signs with 1 sign at the outskirts of each suburb and 1 double sided sign to be located in the vicinity of the boundary between the 2 suburbs.

How were the suggested artwork subjects chosen for Cliftleigh and Heddon Greta?

The project team worked closely with the Local Studies Librarian, to look at the important past of the area and collected some ideas that helped shape that suburb.
